£1.6m price tag for Manchester ecommerce retailer

A Manchester-based ecommerce retailer of homewares, toys and accessories has been put on the market by its founder.

Sardar Sukhvinder Singh Peliya has appointed Blacks Business Brokers to find a new owner for Deals Incorporated Ltd in Cheetham Hill, with a guide price of £1.6m.

The asking price includes both the operating company and the fully equipped leasehold premises on Cheetwood Road in which the business is based. This property carries a rent of £19,188 per year.

The business, which was established by Peliya in 2019, is projected to have achieved turnover of approximately £800,000 in 2021.

Peliya originally founded Deals Incorporated as a family business but, following a change in circumstances, he now wishes to sell in order to retire.

Deals Incorporated makes the majority of its sales via its Amazon and Ebay shops, which are both included in the sale. Thirty per cent of its sales, however, are made via the retail counter at its premises.

The business imports the goods it sells from China and India. Peliya has indicated that he will, free of charge, provide a month’s handover period for a new owner to ensure a seamless transition and provide advice on how to continue Deals Incorporated’s rapid growth.

The property from which the business operates consists of a small retail space, with a large warehouse to the rear, as well as staff facilities. It is fully alarmed, and equipped with CCTV and an Epos till system.

Megan Sutherst, sales negotiator at Blacks Business Brokers, said; “Peliya has quickly built Deals Incorporated into a significant e-commerce operation with a strong customer base. All the groundwork has been done and the business now presents a turnkey opportunity for a new operator.

“The business would make an excellent bolt-on acquisition for an existing e-commerce operator but, given the infrastructure that our client has put in place, it would also be a great opportunity for someone with a different background who wanted to move into online retail. In either case, there is still plenty of growth on the table, and a new owner could take Deals Incorporated to the next level if they were to bring a strong marketing focus to the business.”

All enquiries should be directed to Blacks Business Brokers.
