India will celebrate its 75th Independence Day on 15th August 2021. The day will also be special for Indian automobile industry as two big products are ready to arrive in the market. While Mahindra & Mahindra will unveil the XUV700 premium 7-seater SUV, Ola Electric will announce prices and details of its first electric scooter. Here’s a brief and expected prices of the two upcoming models.
Mahindra XUV700
In the premium 7-seater SUV segment, the new Mahindra XUV700 face challenge from cars like Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the newly-launched Hyundai Alcazar. The carmaker has already confirmed that it will come with multiple segment-first features such as auto booster headlamps, in-car air purifier, personalized safety alerts, AdrenoX infomatics suite with Alexa Auto for the infotainment system, Skyroof (largest in the category) and drowsiness detection system. The SUV will also be boosted with the segment’s most powerful petrol and diesel engines. While the petrol variant will get 200bhp, 2.0L turbo mStallion motor, the diesel model will use 185bhp, 2.2L mHawk turbo unit. Its prices are estimated to start from Rs 15 lakh for the base variant and go up to Rs 18 lakh for the fully-loaded trim.
Ola Electric Scooter
The much-awaited Ola electric scooter is ready to hit roads on 15th August 2021. If reports are to be believed, the model will be named Ola Series S and offered in three variants – S, S 1 and S1 Pro. Buyers will have 10 colour options to choose from including 3 metallic, 3 pastel and 3 matte shades. While its official details will be announced next weekend, the electric scooter is expected to deliver range of around 150km on a single charge. It can do 0 to 45kmph in 3.9 seconds and offer a top speed of around 100kmph. One can charge the scooter via home chargers and Ola Hypercharger network. The home charger will be provided at the time of purchase. Prices of the Ola electric scooter are likely to start from Rs 1 lakh.
