WYOMING, Mich. — Four thousand people in Grand Rapids and Wyoming are without power Friday evening, according to Consumers Energy’s website.
One witness tells us traffic lights have also been knocked out.
“There is a situation with a high-voltage line,” says Doug DeYoung with Consumers Energy, who says crews are in the process of making repairs, adding that power will hopefully be restored by 10 p.m.
A cause for the outage is not yet known, but DeYoung says the issue appears to be in proximity to the substation.
This story is developing and will be updated as we receive more information.
