5 virtual art events you can enjoy safely at home this month

[ad_1]

Bangkok is still not entirely safe for you to go out and find some fun things to do during this weekend. (Here are reasons why, in case you’ve lost touch with what’s going on here.) However, there are some pretty cool things surrounding the art world happening on the world-wide-web at the moment.

On this weekend, you can log into the Internet and fuel up your artsy soul with the ongoing art events. The biggest highlight is none other than Bangkok Design Week that is now going full force as a virtual event. The other intriguing events are the Arts in Hong Kong campaign run by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB). Let’s a look at the preview of five virtual art events you can enjoy safely at home this weekend.

1. Bangkok Design Week 2021 (May 8 – July 31)

Even though it’s difficult for Bangkok Design Week to make a proper comeback due to the pandemic, they’ve decided to keep the entire event online. Under the theme of “Resurgence of Possibilities”, the event explores all the ways we can rise above the challenges and come up with solutions to better the city.

There are a huge series of activities and events from art exhibitions, talks, workshops, to live performances. This weekend, the highlights are Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting (BIPAM) on May 8 and the talk by Creative Economy Agency (CEA) x BrandThink on May 9. Both events are held on Bangkok Design Week’s Facebook page.
