Chennai: Healthcare BPO and IT services provider Access Healthcare has acquired a land parcel of 1.57 acre in Ambattur Industrial Estate for around Rs 50 crore to establish a campus for its business process services and IT operations. The overall value of the project is estimated at Rs 190 crore and expected to be completed in about two years.
The company said it has acquired the land parcel from “a leading IT services provider” and plans to demolish the existing facility and build a campus with an operational capacity of 7,000 employees working in approximately 250,000 square feet. “The new campus in Chennai will deliver advanced healthcare BPO and IT services to our clients in the healthcare revenue cycle and payer market segments. We currently employ over half of our 24,000 people team in Chennai and are looking to strengthen our presence in the city further,” Vardhman Jain, Vice Chairman of Access Healthcare, said. The company has over 12,400 employees based in Chennai currently.
The new campus will house the company’s BPO and IT operations and will be a hub for its technical capabilities. The company will hire talent across healthcare BPO, IT operations, network infrastructure support, human resources, and other functional areas for this new office. It plans to hire freshers and experienced professionals skilled in the areas of medical billing, medical coding and accounts receivable call centre positions for the new facility. “Some of the things that the industry was averse to, such as remote work, digitalization, outsourcing, and telehealth are now a reality. Because of that, we have grown at over 40% last year,” Jain added.
Access Healthcare provides business process outsourcing, applications services, and robotic process automation tools to hospitals, health systems, providers, payers, and related service providers. The company operates from 19 global delivery centers in the US, India, and the Philippines.
