BEYOND the Trees at Avondale was one of the big winners at the 2022 Irish Building and Design Awards held in the 5 star InterContinental Hotel Dublin.
rofessionals from the world of architecture, engineering, construction and design attended the biggest annual awards ceremony in the industry to recognise and acknowledge the best of Ireland’s building and design projects.
The event was introduced by Marty Whelan, who also acted as MC for the evening. After a wonderful dinner, the awards presentations started and as winners were announced they were invited to the stage by Marty to chat briefly about their projects and about winning such a prestigious award.
Beyond the Trees Avondale won Tourism and Hospitality Project of the year. President Michael D Higgins officially opened Beyond the Trees in July, after a €19 million investment.
It was a collaboration between Coillte, Fáilte Ireland and EAK Ireland, and features a treetop walk and a spectacular viewing tower created for the project by EAK Ireland, which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
