BHIVE Workspace has further strengthened its portfolio by setting up a 2 lakh square feet Coworking space in Whitefield, the IT belt of Bengaluru.

The new coworking campus will have over 5,000 seats, along with an upcoming rooftop restaurant and sunset boulevard.

BHIVE, one of the top Coworking operators in the city, said that 20% of the seats have already been taken up by startups just after the pre-launch, in a testament to the growing popularity of the campus model as an exciting workplace for everyone.

“We have always been at the forefront of bringing new experiences to our occupiers and their employees to enhance their office experience. With our campus model, we have taken the lead in the industry towards offering a wide range of amenities, including retail and sports, beyond the usual offerings of a flexible workspace facility,” said Shesh Paplikar, Co-founder and CEO of BHIVE Workspace.

BHIVE’s third campus facility comes after introducing the world’s most significant coworking space for startups in the city, spread across 3 lakh square feet.

BHIVE Workspace currently has 1.4 million square feet with over 40,000 seats across 21 locations across Bengaluru. It counts leading start-ups in fitness, fintech and other domains as its occupiers.

As the adoption of shared workspaces grows significantly across the country, accounting for about 20% of the total commercial space taken up in 2022, newer concepts are emerging, including the campus model, to bring innovations into this space. The rise of the hybrid working model post-pandemic, along with the boost in the start-up culture, has led to an increase in the demand for coworking spaces across the country. According to an industry estimates, the flexible space stock in India is expected to cross 80 million sq ft by 2025. With opportunities becoming more abundant, the segment will become more lucrative for growth.
