Bhopal Railway division transports 292 Eicher tractors from Mandideep to Benapole; earns Rs 50.68 lakhs

BHOPAL (Madhya Pradesh): Railways’ Business Development Unit in the current financial year (from April 2022 to June 23, 2022) dispatched 23 rakes of AMG (506 AMG coaches) from Mandideep of the Division.

In total, 3323 Eicher tractors were transported, earning revenue of Rs 1.57 crore to the Board. Out of this, 3 rakes (73 AMG coaches) transporting 292 Eicher tractors Benapole (Bangladesh) earned a revenue of Rs 50,68,434, according to Railway officials..

In addition, Railways earned Rs 41,13,683 by transporting 1337 Eicher tractor Sonic to Lucknow in 9 rakes; while Rs 22, 93,831 by transporting 497 Eicher tractor to Danapur in 03 rakes (71 AMG coaches).

Similarly, Railway earned Rs.16,53,176 by transporting 504 Eicher Tractor to Ballabgarh (ICDB) in 04 Rakes (72 AMG Coaches); Rs 11,48,386 by transporting 350 Eicher Tractor Raipur Store Depot in 02 Rakes (50 NMG Coaches) while Rs 14,52,434 by transporting 343 Eicher tractor to Cherlapally (Chennai) in 02 rakes (49 NMG coaches).

Thus, from April 2022 to June 23, 2022, 3323 Eicher tractors were transported in total 23 rakes (506 MMG coaches) by Bhopal division. Due to which an increase of Rs 1,57,29,944/- has been registered in the revenue of the Board.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Priyanka Dixit informed that the Business Development Unit (BDU) of the Division is working in coordination with each other to promote freight traffic through Railways. By contacting the traders associated with goods transport, giving information about various incentive schemes, they are being motivated to transport more and more goods through railways. As a result of which the freight revenue of the division is increasing.
