Aligarh: A station superintendent of the Aligarh Railway station who was booked by the Government Railway Police (GRP) for allegedly molesting a woman at his office has denied all charges, as reported by the Indian Express.
The victim a 25-year-old woman had initially lodged a complaint with the GRP after the incident took place on July 28. However, the FIR was not registered. She then uploaded a grievance on the UP Chief Minister’s online portal and also informed the higher authorities of the Indian Railways after which the FIR was registered nearly 19 days after the alleged incident, reported the Indian Express.
The victim has claimed in the FIR that the station superintendent, D K Gautam had called her to his office around 4pm. “I reached his office and he started talking to me in obscene language and also grabbed my hand. I somehow freed myself and ran out of the office, raising an alarm,” she said, as reported by the Indian Express.

Based on the complaint of the woman, Delhi Police registered and arrested a man in connection with the alleged sexual harassment. Further details into the case are awaited, said a police official on Wednesday.
