CAMS buys 55% stake in fintech firm

CHENNAI: Financial infrastructure services provider Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) has acquired 55% stake in Mumbai-based fintech startup Think Analytics. The transaction is proposed to be completed before April 10. The valuation of the deal was not undisclosed.

Founded in 2013, Think Analytics offers AI-powered software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, and the startup’s products primarily cater to customers in the BFSI segment. The company recorded a turnover of over Rs 23 crore in FY23 (up to December) on a consolidated basis.

“With AI, analytics and data-led technologies becoming mainstream to solve problems, transform and grow businesses, CAMS found investing into Think Analytics as a good opportunity that will assist CAMS in building overall market reach and drive innovation,” Chennai-based CAMS, one of the largest registrar and transfer agents of mutual funds in India, said.
