Chouhan Lays Foundation For Projects Worth ₹53k Crore, ET Infra

BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday virtually dedicated to the public and laid the foundation stone of development works all over the state worth Rs 53,000 crore at a programme held at Ravindra Bhawan here.

He said it was a historic day. So many works were either dedicated to the public or a foundation was laid for them. It’s a record. It never happened in the past nor will it happen in the future, he said.

Earlier, Chouhan announced the construction of ‘Gufa Lok’ at Gufa Mandir in Bhopal.

He made the announcement while performing Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth over Rs 566 crore of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) in Gufa Mandir complex Lal Ghati.

Speaking on the occasion, Chouhan said, “Not only Manas Bhawan will be constructed in the Gufa Mandir, Gufa Lok will also be built”.

Chouhan said that parking will be made at Sheesh Mahal near Moti Masjid, to ease the parking system in old Bhopal. This will provide convenience to the traders and buyers of the old Bhopal markets and will also encourage business. Chouhan greeted the sants and batuks present in the programme by showering flowers on them.
