PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Tuesday welcomed a group of foreign tourists from European countries enjoying scenic beauty of hilly areas in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
He said visit of foreign tourists to the region had once again endorsed the fact that the country was safe for tourism, according to a statement issued here.
“Pakistan, a country loaded with natural beauty, hospitality, rich culture and versatile sceneries is attracting and facilitating travellers from all over the world, he said, adding some German explorers, who were currently in Chitral, had declared that KP province was safe and secure for foreign tourists.
KP is one of the best places for tourism as the government is endeavouring to provide every needed facility to the tourists through a well-planned strategy, he maintained.
A German tourist while sharing his views said a group 12 tourists from Germany, Switzerland and Austria was visiting Pakistan and northern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and enjoying every moment of their stay in such a beautiful country with warm hospitality and loving people. He said their perception and outlook about Pakistan had altogether changed after visiting various areas, adding the reality was totally different from what was being portrayed in western media.
