Coast Kamloops, Bright Eye and more receive hospitality awards

Tourism Kamloops CEO Monica Dickinson said every industry has a frontline, which is the first encounter and provides the biggest impression. Meanwhile, she said, those frontline workers are usually the last to be recognized. Dickinson said the event is an effort to recognize those individuals. 

Tourism Kamloops has announced the winners of the 2022 Tourism Kamloops Bold Hospitality Awards. For the past five years, Tourism Kamloops has been recognizing exceptional work in the city’s hospitality sector. A total of 64 nominees competed this year in six categories. 

This year’s winners were:

  • Accommodation “FOH” (Front of House) of the Year – Amandeep Kaur, Travelodge Mountview;
  • Accommodation “BOH” (Back of House) of the Year – David Nsanzimana, Coast Kamloops Hotel & Conference Centre;
  • Food + Beverage “FOH” (Front of House) of the Year – Tawny James, Bright Eye Brewing;
  • Food + Beverage “BOH” (Back of House) of the Year – Nicole Mackie, Salty Fig Catering;
  • Tourism Services Leader of the Year – Maatje Stamp-Vincent, TasteFull Excursions;
  • Tourism Attractions Leader of the Year – Gordon Stamp-Vincent, TasteFull Excursions.

“These awards ensure that we recognize and show our gratitude for the individuals that showcase the best of Kamloops as a destination,” Dickinson said.
