Applications for the national science agency’s Innovate to Grow Advanced Manufacturing program open on Monday, 25 July. The online 10-week, self-paced course is open to SMEs and will start in September.

CSIRO said the goal of Innovate to Grow was to develop manufacturers’ R&D skills with a specific focus on SMEs working on advanced manufacturing solutions.

Participants will bring an innovation idea to the program, with CSIRO guiding them through turning it into an R&D opportunity.

Over the 10 weeks, there are presentations from industry and innovation experts as well as networking opportunities with researchers and R&D mentors.

The course will help you to:

  • Identify your innovation opportunities.
  • Refine your value proposition.
  • Understand the R&D viability.
  • Help you build your business case.
  • Provide guidance on how to prepare a strong funding application.

It is broken down into three phases of preparation, a half-day workshop, and a self-paced 60-day online program.

Applications close on 22 August. Click here for more details.
