PRAYAGRAJ: Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday reviewed the development works and projects being taken out in city ahead of Kumbh 2025 and asked the officials of district administration, railways and police for better coordination.
The deputy CM after taking cognizance of old incidents during Kumbh and Ardh Kumbh, has asked officials to cooperate in better way so that mishaps can be averted. He also reviewed the constructions of over bridges and further directed officials concerned to maintain quality, transparency and asserted that all projects should be completed on time.
Maurya also asked to constitute separate technical teams to ascertain the quality of construction work. He also directed officials to take up the construction of ring road on priority basis ahead of Kumbh 2025 and develop adjoining areas. He also asked officials to focus on widening of roads and expressed his displeasure over the delay in the construction of Jasra bypass.
Maurya also directed officials to speed up Ramvan Gaman path and asked to stop one day salaries of those officials who were absent in the review meet.
Maurya, meanwhile, expressed his displeasure after reported of irregularities being detected in Jal Jivan Mission projects. He asked officials to conduct physical verification of works and lodge FIRs if irregularities were found. He also asked officials of power department to solve the public grievances on priority basis and directed to tighten the noose around people involved in extorting money from people.
Deputy CM also directed officials to set up electric crematorium projects at Phaphamau, Chatnaag and Shringverpur on priority basis. Maurya also directed health officials to maintain adequate stock of platelets in view of rising dengue cases and intensify fogging and anti-larve spray.
