EventDecision offers two new survey solutions for event planners

Two new services are on offer from European event industry research specialists EventDecision, designed to give brand, agency and venue planners intelligence-led tools in both event sustainability measurement and in event connectivity.

With Wi-Fi critical to event success and up to 75% of planners feeling that Wi-Fi provision is poor, according to one recent EventMB report, EventDecision says it is offering planners a venue Wi-Fi survey aligned to their specific event profile. EventDecision produces heatmaps of Wi-Fi speed and capacity throughout the proposed event areas and will advise on any potential shortfall in connectivity as well as offering a suitable remedy for the planner.

The company is also offering a sustainability assessment, showing the effect of live, hybrid and virtual versions of the same event and taking into account all elements of event planning and delivery, enabling reporting of emissions savings and alignment with the aims of ISO20121:2012 and a client’s own Global Sustainability Development plans.

Having worked on major event projects for global brands in digital, tech, oil and gas, banking, insurance and F&B over a 25-year career, founder of EventDecision, Matt Grey says: “EventDecision is born from a genuine need to allow planners to make decisions based on fact rather than gut-feel or promise.

“The feedback we’ve received from brand, agency and venues to whom we’ve already offered sustainability and WiFi survey services has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Clients see the need for measurement and reporting; agencies want to offer the services onwards and venues want to be able to prove their credentials independently, especially with the advent of hybrid events.”

Sustainability measurement and Wi-Fi site survey planning tools are the first of several services that EventDecision plans to roll out to clients, with others to follow in the near future, says Grey.
