NAGPUR: Deputy chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadanvis has asked divisional railway managers (DRMs) of Central Railway and South East Central Railway (SECR) to expedite the ongoing projects in the region.
Fadnavis also discussed the detailed plan for redevelopment of Nagpur and Ajni stations. DRM Central Railway Tushar Kant Pandey briefed him about various works on the west and east sides of the Nagpur station.
Apart from service buildings, the station will have segregation of arrival and departure concourse with dedicated FOB and roof plaza, lifts, and escalators, and seamless traffic flow with basement and surface parking on both sides.
Under ‘Amrit Bharat’ 15 stations have been selected in the Nagpur division. Godhani station is being developed as a satellite station with several new facilities.
