Love Island star Gemma Owen has broken her social media silence following her break-up with Luca Bish last week.
Luca and Gemma met on the first day of the 2022 edition of Love Island, going on to finish in second place to Ekin-Su and Davide. They’re the first couple from the final to call it quits.
While Luca is yet to post since making a statement on the break-up, Gemma was back on Instagram following their ‘mutual’ split.
Gemma returned to social media with a picture from her early-morning walk through the countryside in what was a stunning new day dawning.
Shortly after this, Gemma returned to record a video promoting her latest jewellery collection. She is yet to address any fans questions on her and Luca’s relationship.
Gemma’s last main post on her account is of her and Luca posing together prior to their split on Bonfire Night earlier this month.
‘Experiencing another first with you,’ the caption read.
Announcing their decision to part ways, Gemma told her followers: ‘I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship.
‘It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for both of us right now. Many of you have been on this journey with us from the beginning and I want to thank you for your continued support as a new chapter starts.’
In a separate statement, Luca said he hopes to ‘remain good friends’ with his ex as he wished ‘nothing but the best’ for her.
‘Switched my phone back on after taking some time out to clear my head after an emotional afternoon to thousands of messages and news articles about my breakup.
‘I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways,’ he said.
