NOIDA: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority CEO assured the residents’ representatives earlier this week, that they will develop foot overbridges (FOBs) at Gaur City 1, Hanuman temple and near Gaur Saundaryam soon.

Greater Noida authority has also expedited work on expanding the Ganga water pipeline network and earmarking land for a cremation ground in Greater Noida West. Representatives of over 80 high-rises, under the umbrella body Noida Federation of Apartment Owners Associations (NOFAA), also met the Noida authority CEO on Tuesday and sought resolution on the structural safety issues, including lift and fire safety measures, along with water and sanitation in Noida apartments.

The president of the New ERA Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA), Abhishek Kumar told TOI that their demands have been pending for a long while. “Currently, GNIDA is supplying water from local borewells,” said Kumar.

On this issue, the GNIDA CEO Ravi Kumar NG said that the pipeline progress is at an advanced stage and soon the residents will get the Ganga water. “It has already reached near D park in Sector-62 now,” he said.

In a separate meeting with Noida authority CEO Lokesh M on Tuesday, NOFAA members raised infrastructural concerns and demanded the implementation of the Delhi Lift Rules, 1942 on an immediate basis.

CEO Lokesh M sought time to oversee all issues having taken office recently. However, he said that on the builder-buyer issues, the decisions will come from Lucknow.
