NEW DELHI: Rajasthan’s first and the country’s 15th Vande Bharat Express train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Vande Bharat train was the sixth Vande Bharat Express launched in the last two months. The Ajmer-Delhi Cantonment Vande Bharat Express will be the world’s first semi high speed passenger train on high rise overhead electric (OHE) territory.

What are the stops of Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express:
The Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Vande Bharat train service will start from April 13. The train will run between Jaipur and Delhi Cantt railway stations with stops in Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgugram.

It will cover the distance between Delhi Cantonment and Ajmer in five hours and 15 minutes.

The present fastest train on the Delhi-Ajmer route, Shatabdi Express, takes 6 hours 15 minutes. The new Vande Bharat Express will take 60 minutes less than Shatabdi.

The train is likely to improve the connectivity to major tourist destinations in Rajasthan, including Pushkar and the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.

What’s the fare for Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express:

The train fare of Vande Bharat Express ( Train No- 20978) between Delhi Cantonment to Ajmer will be Rs 1250 including Rs 308 as catering charges and Rs 2270 for the Executive Class which includes Rs 369 as catering charges. Food choice is optional and if not selected the catering charge will not be reduced from the fare.

In return, the fare on Train No- 20977 Vande Bharat Express from Ajmer Jn to Delhi Cantonment will be Rs 1085 in Chair Car and includes Rs 142 as catering charges and Rs 2075 in Executive Cass that includes Rs 175 as catering charge.

The fare for journey between Delhi Cantt and Jaipur is Rs 1,050 including Rs 308 for catering.

The fare for journey between Jaipur and Delhi Cantt is Rs 800 including Rs 142 for catering charge.

Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express train timing:
The Delhi-Ajmer Vande Bharat express will start from 18:40 tomorrow and the Ajmer – Delhi will begin at morning 6:20 am. The trains will run on all days except for Wednesday.
