Honda Shine 100 launched in India. Check price, specifications here

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched a 100cc version of its popular Shine model. The most affordable and fuel-efficient mass motorcycle, – Shine 100, is priced at INR 64,900 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).

“Marking its presence in the 100cc basic mass commuter category, Honda’s brand Shine’s undisputed leadership in the 125cc motorcycle segment is a testimony to the trust, reliability, and advanced technology it offers to the customers. Shine 100 is developed with 12 patent applications for the enhancement of reliability,” the company said in a media release.

The Honda Shine 100 is powered by an all-new 100cc OBD2 compliant PGM-FI engine, boosted by Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) which claims to deliver high fuel efficiency, optimum performance, and less emissions. As per Honda, the engine produces around 8 bhp, and it comes mated with a four-speed manual transmission. Honda Shine 100, HMSI claimed, will offer a fuel economy of 60 kmpl.

The Shine 100 will be available in five color options: black with red stripes, black with blue stripes, black with green stripes, black with gold stripes and black with grey stripes.

It has a 677mm long seat that will provide ample space for rider and the pillion, Honda said. It has a uniquely designed tank and a narrow leg opening angle. Besides, the Shine 100 has a seat height of 786mm and a ground clearance of 168mm. Other highlights include all-black alloy wheels, an aluminum grab rail, a sleeker-looking muffler, appealing headlamps and taillights, a side stand with engine inhibitor, and a Combi-Brake System (CBS) with equalizer.
