How Selloship Logistics Is Using AI To Help Ecommerce Sellers Reduce RTO

One of the key ways this technology helps to reduce RTO losses is through real-time analysis of over 300 parameters within 200 milliseconds of an order being placed. This allows the algorithm to identify and flag risky orders, resulting in a reduction in information-related RTO losses of 45 to 60 per cent.

From the moment a customer lands on your eCommerce store’s page, an in-depth analysis of their clicks, traffic source, and behaviour is created. This data is used to identify fraudulent orders, orders made by bots, and impulse purchases. In addition to these features, Selloship’s AI technology verifies and auto-corrects customer information such as addresses and phone numbers. It also automatically flags orders from temporary addresses and high-risk zip codes, further reducing the likelihood of RTO losses.

To take things a step further, their technology uses cross-references of placed orders with other eCommerce sites to check for past RTO history and other fraudulent behaviour. Each order is then assigned a risk assessment score based on this information. Selloship has compiled data from over 5,000 brands, and the results speak for themselves: a 60 per cent reduction in RTO losses, a 35 per cent reduction in no delivery reports (NDRs), and a 15 per cent increase in fulfilment.
