IndiGo reports highest quarterly PAT of Rs. 3,090 cr in Apr-Jun, ET Infra

MUMBAI: Country’s largest airline InterGlobe Aviation Ltd-run IndiGo reported its highest ever quarterly profit after tax of Rs. 3090 crore in Apr-Jun as against a loss of Rs. 1,064 crore in the same period last year.

The airline’s EBITDAR or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortisation, and rentals for Apr-Jun was at Rs. 5,211 crore, up from Rs. 717 crore in the year ago period, while revenue from operations in the quarter was at Rs.16,683 crore, up nearly 30% on year

“I am pleased to report a solid start to the year building on the positive momentum from the last two quarters. We produced strong operational performance and welcomed the highest number of quarterly passengers which enabled us to generate the highest ever quarterly revenue and net profit for the quarter ended June 2023,” said Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, InterGlobe Aviation, in a post earnings statement.

For Jul-Sep quarter, the airline has guided for a capacity increase of about 25% year-on-year. As of June end, the airline operated 316 aircraft.
