The Department of Hotel Management and Tourism of the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) organised a two day induction programme today for their newly-admitted students. In the programme, the students of the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel management (BTTM) participated. With new set of challenges being thrown at the hospitality sector, during pandemic, the purpose of the induction programme was to familiarise students with new normal for tourism and hotel industry, while making them aware of the changes in organisation and functioning.
Prof Hardeep Singh, Dean, Academic Affairs, GNDU, presided over the programme, where he talked about upgraded skill set to meet the post pandemic work culture demand.
