[ad_1]

Infosys has announced that it will expand its collaboration with Microsoft to help accelerate enterprise cloud transformation globally.

The tenure or the revenue benefits derived from the partnership were not disclosed.

The extended collaboration between Infosys and Microsoft will greatly benefit enterprises by bringing them Infosys Cobalt cloud offerings and Microsoft’s cloud computing technologies, led by Azure, across the business value-chain, according to an exchange filing.

“The joint capabilities across application modernisation, enterprise solutions, data analytics and AI, digital workplace solutions, low-code, no-code power platforms and cybersecurity innovations will create a robust foundation for cloud-powered transformation,” the filing added.

“Infosys and Microsoft have a longstanding 360-degree strategic collaboration. On the one hand, Infosys plays a pivotal role in accelerating Microsoft’s transformation with digital services. Infosys has embraced Microsoft technology and Microsoft cloud solutions to empower our over 300,000 employees,” said Anand Swaminathan, EVP and global industry leader for communications, media and technology at Infosys.

Infosys sees a huge opportunity in the cloud and digital business and will continue to focus on expanding its capabilities in these areas, chief executive Salil Parekh said in May last year.Parekh said the total market size of cloud and digital services globally is expected to jump to $830-$890 billion by 2027 from $410-$450 billion currently, clocking 14-16% annualised growth, despite ongoing concerns around inflation and the geopolitical tensions in Europe.

“We will fine-tune some of that focus (on cloud and digital). We have a huge opportunity to gain market share because of good capabilities built till now and we will continue that in the current cycle,” Parekh had said.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Infosys announced a collaboration with GE Digital — the US-based conglomerate’s software division to accelerate grid transformation for the utilities sector.

GE Digital and Infosys will jointly bring innovative and scalable solutions to the utilities industry to accelerate grid transformation for their new and existing clients, according to an exchange filing.

The solutions will help grid operators realise a more reliable and sustainable grid.
