The Joint Forum of Unions and Associations in Public Sector General Insurance Companies, representing more than 50000 Employees and Officers have deferred their indefinite strike call from 20 June after getting the assurance that the wage revision issue is under active consideration at an appropriate level.

The Joint Forum of Unions and Associations in Public Sector General Insurance Companies have deferred their indefinite strike call after getting the assurance and appeal by GIPSA Chairman, CE, GIPSA, and all four companies CMDs of PSGICS to withdraw the call for indefinite strike.

This decision has been taken after the meeting of JFTU Constituents, Trilok Singh Convenor, JFTU, PSGICS Northern Zone said in a statement on Saturday.

After a meeting called by the Management, it was confirmed by CE, GIPSA in writing, that the wage revision issue is under active consideration at an appropriate level and GIPSA management is regularly and seriously following the same with DFS officials.

Further, it is to be mentioned that the employees and officers have been carrying out their agitation for the last three years to meet their legitimate demands.
