Kherwadi’s Jagat Vidya Road to be closed for four months till March 2023; see alternate routes

The Mumbai Tarffic Police issued a notification on Tuesday informing the commuters about the same.

“In the jurisdiction of Kherwadi Traffic division, the Municipal corporation of Greater Mumbai is going to undertake Gatar Nalla and drainage line work from Gurunanak Hospital Chowk to the Bombay Bank Building, and for that excavation will be done by closing the said road,” the traffic department said.

The traffic police have also made several arrangements in order to prevent any untoward incident and to streamline traffic. These arrangements will be in effect for four months from 12 am on October 19, 2022, to 12 am on March 18, 2023.

Restrictions:

The vehicular traffic will not be allowed on both bounds of Jagat Vidya road between Gurunanak Hospital Chowk to Bombay Bank Building in Kherwadi, Bandra (East) in Mumbai.

Alternate Routes:

-Vehicular traffic proceeding through East Bound on Jagat Vidya Road towards the Bombay Bank Building should take a right turn from Gurunanak Hospital Chowk and proceed through Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari road, Matoshri Junction towards BKC.

-Commuters proceeding through West Bound of Jagat Vidya Road towards Gurunanak Hospital shall proceed through the BKC traffic division- Income tax junction- Family Court Junction- MMRDA Junction and through Matoshri Junction via Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Road towards Kherwadi.
