Here is a list of some of the events going on around the Susquehanna Valley during the Memorial Day weekend:

Adams County

Gettysburg Joint Veterans Memorial Day Commission

• Monday, May 31 at 2 p.m.
  • Begins at Lefever Street in Gettysburg and heads northeast to Middle Street; turns west on East Middle Street and south on Baltimore Street to the Soldiers’ National Cemetery.
  • The Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. at the Rostrum in the Soldiers’ National Cemetery.

Cumberland County

Carlisle’s Community Memorial Day Ceremony

• Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m.
  • Outside on The Soldier’s Walk at the U. S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC), 950 Soldiers Drive.
  • Vietnam War veteran and four-time Pittsburgh Steeler Super Bowl champion Rocky Bleier is the guest speaker.

Boiling Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8851 Annual Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony and Picnic

• Sunday, May 30 at 1 p.m.
  • Parade begins at Boiling Springs High School.
  • Picnic held in the Boiling Springs Tavern parking lot.

Franklin County

Cumberland Valley School of Music Memorial Day Concert

• Monday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Kiwanis Band Shell at Memorial Park.
  • Rain Contingency Plan: Thomas Alumnae Chapel at Wilson College.
  • Free admission.
  • Patriotic music by CVSM faculty and staff.

Lancaster County

Lancaster County Veterans Court and D.R.I.V.E. Committee Memorial Day Ceremony

• Monday, May 31 at 11 a.m.
  • Stevens Greenland Cemetery at 1200 South Duke St. in Lancaster.

Manheim VFW Memorial Day Parade

• Monday May 31 from 10-11 a.m.
  • Parade Route: East High Street to North Main Street to East Gramby Street.

Denver Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

• Monday, May 31 at 9 a.m.
  • Denver Memorial Park.
  • Starts at the Denver Fire Company Hall at North 4th and Locust streets.

Dauphin County

53rd Annual Artsfest of Greater Harrisburg

• Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Monday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • City Island.
  • Virtual activities start Saturday.
  • Online Artisan Marketplace.
  • Filmfest – stream a series of films from home starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.

York County

York County Department of Veterans Affairs Memorial Day ceremony

• Monday, May 31 at 11 .m.
  • Veterans Memorial Park next to the Gold Star Healing and Peace Garden and York Catholic High School.

Hanover Memorial Day Parade

• Monday, May 31 at 8:30 a.m.
  • The route will start at the intersection of Carlisle and Chestnut streets and conclude at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Baltimore Street where the Community Memorial Day Service will be held. The planned guest speaker is PA Senator Doug Mastriano, (Col. US Army, Ret.).
  • Rain Contingency Plan: Radio Station WHVR will report parade cancelation between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. Services will be held in the ballroom of the American Legion Post #14 at 9 a.m.

Memorial Day Ride to Hanover Junction

• Monday, May 31 at 1 p.m.
  • Veterans and active-duty military ride free.
  • 20-minute stopover at the Hanover Junction Museum.

Red Lion’s Memorial Day Service

• Monday, May 31 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Fairmount Park.
  • Rain Contingency Plan: Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Red Lion Community Building located at 190 S. Charles St.

Etters Memorial Day Parade and Celebration

• Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m.
  • St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 355 Church Rd.
