The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD) recognized the Advanced Materials Division of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCG) with the Best Overall Manufacturer Environmental award on September 14, 2022. This award distinguishes the innovative or exemplary environmental responsibility by an IAPD member company.

MCG – Advanced Materials shows commitment to environmental stewardship by proactively taking responsibility to develop and operate our business in a manner that respects the natural environment together with the environment in which we operate and live.

“Our many successes over the last two years have included reducing our carbon emissions considerably through the transition to renewable electricity, we were also able to reduce waste and water considerably. This is a result of employee involvement and strong management support – essentially collaboration throughout our entire supply chain,” said James Kohler, KAITEKI Manager Americas. “Progress in sustainability can only be achieved by working together.”

This honor was accepted at the 66th annual IAPD Annual Convention & connecX held in Tampa, Florida on September 12-15, 2022. The awards celebrate the environmentally responsible practices of IAPD member companies, including recycling, conservation, community outreach, employee engagement, and more.
