MUMBAI: The highest occupancy in Vistadome coaches in six months has been on Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express, with 8,256 passengers, netting highest revenue of Rs1.7crore compared to other Vistadome corridors of Central Railway.
A railway official said 66,000 passengers travelled in Vistadome coaches to Pune and Goa between November 2022 and April 2023. This generated a revenue of over Rs 8.4 crore. Goa Janshatabdi ferried maximum passengers, followed by Pune-Mumbai Pragati Express (8,159 ), and Deccan Queen (7,797). While Pragati Express collected over Rs 1.3 crore, Deccan Express generated Rs 1.2crore revenue from Vistadome coaches.
