new video promotes country for Berlin tourism exhibition

The Georgian national tourism administration has released a promotional video in the run up to ITB Berlin 2023, the world’s largest tourism exhibition set to feature Georgia as the guest country in the German capital, to highlight the hospitality and welcoming culture of the country.

The GNTA revealed the promotional product on Wednesday, with organisers having created the concept for the marketing campaign for the event that will run in the spring. The body said the approach would involve promotion of the country through the trade show itself and with a campaign showcasing it as a tourism destination.

As the featured country, Georgia will be showcased by German organisers as the grand opening show of the fair launches three successive days of the fair between March 7-9.

While presenting the concept of the marketing campaign for the fair, economy minister Levan Davitashvili said the Georgian representation wanted to highlight hospitality as “the strongest side of Georgians”.

I believe we will once again show our hospitality to the world. A new video – Be a Guest of Georgia – was created through this concept. Of course, we will use this video on the ITB Berlin platform, and I am sure that we will host many guests in our unique country”, Davitashvili said.

ITB 2023 will kick off with a festive opening gala at CityCube Berlin fairgrounds in the German capital, with the event set to be livestreamed. Georgia will be represented at hub27 and in Hall 4.1 at the location.

Deputy economy minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said 705 square metres of space would be allocated for the Georgian stand in the main pavilion to give the country the opportunity to present “an unprecedentedly large number of tourism companies” during the exhibition.
