Nikhil Sharma: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts appoints Nikhil Sharma as market managing director for Eurasia

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of Nikhil Sharma as market managing director for Eurasia. The company said in his new expanded role, Sharma, who joined Wyndham as regional director for Eurasia in 2019 will have a full management remit encompassing franchise operations support, regional sales, revenue management services, while also steering the development strategy for the region.

The expansion of Nikhil Sharma’s role follows a number of key development hires in Eurasia for Wyndham, including the appointment of Arpit Pant as development director; Nikhil Sasidharan and Siddharth Kochhar as development managers; and the promotion of Govind Mundra as head of development, Eurasia, concentrating on hotel conversion opportunities across the Indian sub-continent.

The chain said Nikhil Sharma will now oversee this team and contribute to the future growth of Wyndham in the region.

Sharma said the Indian sub-continent offers tremendous potential for the hospitality sector and Wyndham has been experiencing a very strong momentum.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts recently surpassed the 50th hotel milestone in India and had a number of key openings in destinations such as Ramada by Wyndham Gangtok Hotel & Casino Golden, Ramada by Wyndham Station Road Katra, and Ramada Encore by Wyndham Siliguri, Sevoke Road. The Company’s development pipeline includes approximately 32 hotels across the region.
