The Calvin Klein jacquard-woven accent rugs from Nourison are BSCI ethically sourced and Oeko-Tex certified chemical-free.
Saddle Brook, NJ – Nourison is dialing up variety with the launch of several new collections at the New York Home Fashions Market, including new accent rug designs in its Calvin Klein and 57 Grand by Nicole Curtis branded programs plus new area rug styles for the Grand Washables collection.
“We see our larger retail customers in New York, and they are actually coming to market this time. We have a lot of appointments scheduled,” said Giovanni Marra, director of marketing and digital strategy. “We know we need to keep things fresh, which is why we plan to show more collections for a range of shoppers. We’re covering what is trending across the category.”
That will include seasonal looks for fall and holiday as well as spring and summer.
“Some retailers are moving through inventory and looking for goods to buy,” he continued. “We are confident retailers are coming to buy.”
The washable rug category is an area of focus, as customers demand more performance features and easy-care attributes.
And part of this includes eco-friendly constructions like PET recycled plastic bottle fiber-made looks for sustainability-minded consumers.
“Washable rugs by definition promote less waste because you can use them and wash them and hold on to them longer,” he noted.
Within that category, Nourison is adding new looks in neutral color stories (taupes, grays, ivories and other natural tones), vintage-inspired patterns, abstract designs and more, “to provide variety for all the different consumers out there.”
The company’s long-standing partnership with Calvin Klein expands with several new additions in both accent and area rugs.
“We’re introducing some new synthetic, synthetic blend, and cotton washable styles to the brand, building on the healthy business we’ve developed with Calvin Klein,” Marra said.
Some of the constructions include PET-fiber, recycled cotton and space-dyed polyester chenille. (See below.)
But taking much of the spotlight during market week will be Nourison’s Waverly program, as the brand fetes its centennial anniversary.
“We’re making a big push at the market to celebrate Waverly’s 100th anniversary,” Marra said. “And we’re showing a lot of colorful new designs for Waverly.”
Details about the Waverly festivities were not finalized at press time.

Grand Washables Collection: The richly saturated navy-blue ground is framed by a brick red border finished with a vintage wash that adds a subtle pop of color. This machine-washable printed Persian rug is flat-woven and features a non-slip backing.
