Pune: Cab aggregator and e-vehicle maker Ola on Tuesday announced that it has acquired GeoSpoc, a Pune-based geospatial services provider, to help develop new-generation location technology in the future.
In a blog, Bhavish Aggarwal, the co-founder and CEO of Ola, said the deal was done to help develop more accurate mapping, incorporating multi-modal transportation options, deploying real-time satellite imagery to assess road quality and street-lighting for increased safety. None of the two firms confirmed the terms of the deal, including the acquisition cost. TNN
