LAS VEGAS: Oracle NetSuite on Wednesday announced a host of product innovations to drive efficiencies in businesses and make them more profitable.

At SuiteWorld 2022 in Las Vegas, its annual gathering of customers, partners, developers and industry professionals, the company announced how organisations can optimise their business processes in a more streamlined manner. A workforce management solution to help organisations increase efficiency and employee engagement; a new mobile application to improve warehouse operations; an accounts payable automation feature and Configure, Price and Quote (CPQ) solutions to help accelerate sales processes were among some of the mega announcements at this year’s conference.

NetSuite offers an integrated system that includes Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), inventory management, HR, professional services automation and omnichannel commerce, used by more than 32,000 customers in 217 countries.

Speaking more about the new innovations lined up ahead, Evan Goldberg, Founder and EVP, Oracle NetSuite said that the theme ‘Full Suite Ahead’ signifies to keep moving ahead despite all obstacles. “It is about charging into the future. We try to make everything work together so that you can stay on the fast track. Over the course of last year, there have been challenges and opportunities and we have found ways to be more efficient, nimble, customer centric and profitable,” he said as a part of his keynote address.

To help organisations address the extremely time-consuming Accounts Payable processes, the company unveiled NetSuite AP Automation. “Accounts payable plays an important role in managing cash flow, controlling costs and maintaining strong relationships with vendors,” he said, adding that a lot of times the process is slow, tedious and error prone. “By simplifying and automating the entire bill payment process – from data capture to payment and reconciliation – NetSuite AP Automation will help to eliminate these challenges. This would help businesses streamline, improve a key operation and ultimately reduce costs,” he added.

A feature to make warehouse operations smoother – NetSuite Ship Central – was also announced. A mobile application to optimise operations for businesses, eliminate manual processes and accelerate customer deliveries, the solution equips warehouse workers with packing and shipping capabilities on a mobile or kiosk device. “Now, more than ever, warehouse operations are under pressure to increase output without additional resources to do so. By making it easier to consolidate shipments, adjust shipping routes for cost efficiency and customise workflows to meet business demands, Ship Central provides intelligence and insights to further optimise the fulfillment process, decreasing cost and increasing customer satisfaction,” Goldberg highlighted.

Besides this, Oracle NetSuite also announced NetSuite SuitePeople Workforce Management to help businesses manage labour costs and profitability. The solution enhances employee engagement by automating routine tasks such as scheduling staff, tracking employee hours worked and calculating wages. It also provides recommendations on staff scheduling to optimise business goals. “In a tight labour market, organisations need to elevate the management of their workforce to be competitive. This feature will help to balance workforce needs and profitability by providing finance and operational management with insights into metrics around sales, production targets and labour costs. It supports employee engagement by enabling employees to view their schedules, clock in and out of shifts and request shift changes directly from their mobile device,” he explained.Besides this, the company introduced the Configure, Price and Quote Solution to bring efficiency to the sales quote process. NetSuite CPQ boasts of enabling sales teams to be more efficient and save costs in the pricing process.

The conference, spread over four days, saw a huge turnout in its first in-person event after the pandemic.
