PM Narendra Modi to distribute nearly 71,000 appointment letters today under Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be distributing nearly 71,000 appointment letters today, January 20, 2023. Under the PM Rozgar Mela 2023, the appointment letters will be distributed today. PM Modi will also be addressing the candidates through video-conferencing at 10:30 AM today.
PM Rozgar Mela is a scheme for employment which was introduced by the Government of India in October 2022. The first session of the Rozgar Mela was held on the occasion of Dhanteras 2022. Around 75,000 appointment letters were distributed.

The aim behind PM Rozgar Mela is to increase employment and offer jobs to the youth of India. The mission of this government employment scheme is to recruit for nearly 10 lakh jobs.

As per reports, the newly appointed recruits would work in a variety of positions such as as junior engineers, locomotive drivers, technicians, police inspectors, sub-inspectors and constables, stenographers, within the Income Tax department and with various government-run education and health-related organisations, as well as in PA roles.

“The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join various positions/posts under Government of India like Junior Engineers, loco pilots, Technicians, Inspector, Sub Inspectors, Constable, stenographer, Junior Accountant, Grameen Dak Sevak, Income Tax Inspector, Teacher, Nurse, Doctor, Social security Officer, PA, MTS, among others,” read the official statement issued by the Prime Minister’s office.

During the ceremony today, the new recruits would also receive training and learning from the Karmayogi Prarambh module. The Karmayogi Prarambh module is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various Government departments.
