A man has been charged with murder after police found a 66-year-old man dead in a caravan in a small town on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula yesterday afternoon.

Police and emergency services were called to a property at Port Neill, a coastal town between Whyalla and Port Lincoln, around 4:40pm on Saturday to check on the welfare of a man.

Police found a 66-year-old man dead in a caravan.

A 28-year-old local man was arrested and charged with murder.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police said the two men were known to each other and it was not a random incident.
