Porsche showcases Rs 2.54 crore 718 GT4 RS at ‘Festival of Dreams’ event: How and where to visit

Porsche India showcased India’s first 718 Cayman GT4 RS at its ‘Festival of Dreams’ event held in Mumbai on January 25. This is the first 718 GT4 RS to be sold in India since its launch back in May 2022. While prices for the sports car start from Rs 2.53 crore ex-showroom, the particular spec that has been showcased costs close to Rs 3.2 crore. The sports car is a track-focused version of the Porsche 718 GT4 and weighs 35 kgs lighter than the standard version. The RS, further gets a top speed of 315 kmph thanks to its 4-litre flat-six naturally aspirated engine producing 493 hp and 450 Nm of torque. This makes the RS version more powerful than the standard GT4 by 78 hp and 20 Nm in torque.

In other upgrades over the standard version, the 718 GT4 RS also gets forged aluminium wheels, 408 mm discs on the front and 380 mm discs at the rear. The suspension and chassis have also been retuned for the RS and can be electrically lowered by 30 mm for better track performance. The best part is that the sports car will be on showcase for the general public as well, who can view it on January 26. You can visit the ‘Festival of Dreams’ event and see the 718 GT4 RS and several other Porsche display models for free. Those who are interested in attending the event, have to register themselves on www.festivalofdreams.in to gain access. The venue is at the JIO World Convention Centre in Mumbai’s BKC area and the event will be open from 11 AM to 8 PM.
When compared to the standard 718 Cayman, the GT4 RS also gets a lot more aggressive aesthetic with the new bumper featuring larger air intakes and a front splitter. The hood gets air vents and then there is the large spoiler at the back of the sports car that has 3 manual adjustments. The front fenders of the GT4 RS are also wider and more aggressively designed. The intake vent on the rear fenders is also bigger in the car. The track-focused version also gets dual exhaust tips at the back with a rear diffuser, compared to the standard version’s single exhaust tip. The vehicle weighs a total of 1,415 kg.

The general public visiting the ‘Festival of Dreams’ event on January 26 will also get to see a Porsche GT3 and GT2 RS along with the entire India line-up including the 911 GT3 RS, the Maca GTS SUV and the Taycan EV.
