Porch.com study finds Greenville to be the hottest real estate market in 2022

Greenville was named the hottest real estate market in 2022 in a study by Porch.com, which ranked housing markets in U.S. metro areas.

For the study, the website compared 30 of the country’s largest metro areas and explored if:

  • Prices and number of sales trend upwards
  • Homes sell quickly
  • Real estate inventory is low
  • Price cuts are rare

Based on its findings, Greenville has seen prices rising at an average of 18% year-over-year and homes selling in an average of five days.

Other metro areas on the list include:

  • Richmond, Virginia
  • El Paso, Texas
  • Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
  • San Antonio, Texas
  • Durham, North Carolina
  • Raleigh, North Carolina
