DRUCC Meeting: Inquiry counter to come up

Jadugoda, June 15: Reservation counter will now remain open at Ghatshila Railway Station from 8 am to 8 pm. Along with this an inquiry counter will come up for the convenience of passengers. It was also agreed to restore the electronic coach indicator system at the Ghatsila Railway Station, according to the decision taken at the meeting of Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) convened in Kharagpur on Wednesday.

DRUCC member Dinesh Sao after meeting with DRM Manoranjan Pradhan and Senior DCM Rajesh Kumar informed that Jhargram – Purulia local train service will resume just like ‘pre-Covid times’.

During the meeting discussions were held to relieve people living near Gopalpur Railway Crossing of water logging for which railways will construct drain at Gopalpur Crossing.

Consent has been given for construction of Road over Bridge (ROB) at Galudih while in Kutludih, due to land issue and some other technical reasons, there is a possibility that Road Under Bridge (RUB) will be built instead of ROB. It is worth mentioning that all industries in and around Jamshedpur have started and workers from Chakulia, Kokpada, Dhalbhumgarh, Ghatshila, Galudih, Rakhmines, Galudih, travel to Tatanagar, Adityapur, Gamharia, Kandra. Demand for restarting the operation of passenger and express trains was also discussed in the meeting.
