HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad airport has emerged as the most punctual airport in the world with an on-time performance of 90.43%, in March 2023. This was highlighted in a report released by the aviation analytical firm Cirium.
According to the report, the GMR Hyderabad International Airport is the only airport in the world to have crossed the 90% punctuality mark.
“Cirium reviewed more than five million flights globally in March. Hyderabad airport topped the charts both in the ‘Global Airports’ and ‘Large Airports’ categories,” stated a release issued by GHIAL adding that in November 2022, the city facility was ranked fourth in the world, in the ‘Large Airports’ category with an on-time performance of 88.44%.
“We are thrilled that our airport has been recognised as the most on-time global airport. This accolade is a testament to our commitment to providing a seamless passenger experience and ensuring that travellers reach their destination on time,” said Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GHIAL.
