A number of roads have been closed across Derbyshire due to flooding.
Rain continues to pour down across areas of the county causing disruption – and a major incident had been declared across Derbyshire.
Amber weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office, who have said that flooding is likely to lead to “a loss of life” in the region. They have said there will no let up until Thursday morning, January 21.
River levels across the county have risen following the arrival of Storm Christoph.
Derbyshire County Council has revealed a list of roads that are currently closed due to the flooding taking place.
In Derbyshire Dales, the B5057 at Darley Bridge is closed.
The A6 Buxton, between Topley Pike and Morrisons’ Island in the High Peak has been shut
The council will be updating this list at 6am tomorrow and it can be viewed here.
The most roads are closed across South Derbyshire, they are:
- Heage Lane, Etwall
- Ingleby Lane, Milton
- Bargate Lane, Willington
- Watery Lane, Bretby
- Junction of Twyford Lane and Buckford Lane, Twyford
- Church Lane, Barrow-on-Trent
