First cars are always special for everyone, even if you’re a celebrity. While most Indian celebrities have an extravagant garage full of exotic cars, they also started with their first cars one time. Here is a list of celebrities and their first cars.

Maruti 800

Sachin Tendulkar owns an exotic garage that is full of Porsches and BMWs. Well, the “Master Blaster” also started with a humble Maruti 800 like most of the Indians from that generation. Sachin has been looking around and buy back his first car. But he has not been successful yet.

Renowed Bollywood movie director Imtiyaz Ali owns a few luxurious vehicles at the moment. Imtiyaz, however, started his journey on four-wheelers with the humble Maruti SS80. Imtiyaz also shared a picture of the Maruti 800 from his younger days.

Rajnikanth

Fiat 1100

Rajnikanth leads a simple lifestyle and only recently he has moved to a luxury SUV from the humble Innova. Rajni’s family posted a picture of his first car – a Premier Padmini parked at the residence. It is the first car of the superstar and it is still in working condition.

The Italian manufacturer became very popular in India initially. The Fiat 1100 became a family status and the design of the car turned a lot of heads. Even today, there are many enthusiasts who keep the Fiat 1100 in perfect condition.

Kajol currently owns a BMW X7 and is often spotted with her family roaming around in the SUV. Her first car though was the first sedan from Maruti in India – the 1000. Maruti Suzuki 1000 was a premium sedan and came with a price tag of close to Rs 4 lakh in the 1990s. It sure was considered as a premium amount back then. Soon the Maruti Suzuki 1000 was replaced with the Esteem, which again became extremely popular in the market.

Honda CR-V

Sara Ali Khan always chose humble cars over the luxury brands. Sara moves around in a white coloured, older-generation Honda CR-V that came powered by a 2.4-litre petrol engine. Recently, Sara Ali Khan also got a brand new Jeep Compass, which has become her favourite ride now.

Deepika Padukone

Audi Q7

While Deepika Padukone now owns a couple of Maybach cars, she started her journey with an Audi Q7 that she bought in 2011. Even this Q7 belongs to the earlier generation. It’s powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged diesel engine that outputs a maximum power of 240 bhp along with a peak torque of 550 Nm.

Shraddha Kapoor

Mercedes-Benz ML-Class

Shraddha Kapoor gifted herself a Mercedes ML 250 after the success of her movies. The ML 250 is powered by a 2.2-litre engine making 203 Bhp and 500 Nm. The model has been discontinued now and been replaced by the GLE which is basically a facelift of the same. Since the company had to adopt the new naming strategy, the car is known as the GLE.

Alia Bhatt

Audi Q7

Alia currently owns a Range Rover and always uses the massive SUV to go around the town. Even Alia bought the Audi Q7 as her first car. She uploaded the picture on social media when she first bought it. The Q7 was her go-to car as well, and was used extensively for daily commute. The latest addition to her garage is the Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography.

BMW 7-Series

Kanagana recently upgraded to a Mercedes-Maybach S680. Her first car was the BMW 7-Series luxury sedan. The 7-series was used extensively for the daily commute and reaching events and parties. In the recent past, she also bought the Mercedes-Benz GLE amongst other high-end luxury cars.

Priyanka Chopra

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The desi-girl of Hollywood was the first Bollywood actress to own a Rolls Royce Ghost. Post her wedding with Nick Jonas, she’s moved to the USA permanently. In the USA, she drives around in a Mercedes-Maybach S600 limousine. Her first car was also a Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan in white. She used it for several years before upgrading to other high-end cars. In the USA, she owns an array of luxury cars.

Katrina Kaif

Audi Q7

The beautiful Katrina Kaif also has humble choices compared to the success and peers when it comes to our choice of vehicle. Her first car was the Audi Q7 and was always used. Salman Khan gifted her the Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography, which made her let go of the Q7.
