MADURAI: The Railway Board has approved extension of the services of 10 festival special trains from the southern districts of Tamil Nadu to other states. The trains will run a total of 98 trips – in both the directions – during the extension from the first week of February to the beginning of April, according to a statement issued by the Madurai division of Southern Railway.
Weekly Special Trains
Train No 06053 Madurai – Bikaner weekly festival special on Thursdays will be extended. It will run on February 4, 11, 18 and 25 and March 4, 11, 18 and 25 (eight trips). Train No 06054 Bikaner – Madurai weekly festival special on Sundays will run on February 7, 14, 21 and 28 and March 7, 14, 21 and 28 (eight trips).
Train No 06733 Rameswaram – Okha weekly festival special on Fridays will be operated on February 5, 12, 19 and 26 and March 5, 12, 19 and 26 (eight trips). Train No 06734 Okha – Rameswaram weekly festival special on Tuesdays will run on February 9, 16 and 23 and March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 (eight trips).
Train No 06070 Tirunelveli – Bilaspur weekly festival special on Sundays will run on February 7, 14, 21 and 28 and March 7, 14, 21 and 28 (eight trips). Train No 06069 Bilaspur – Tirunelveli weekly festival special on Tuesdays will run on February 9, 16 and 23 and March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 (8 trips).
Train No 06072 Tirunelveli – Dadar weekly festival special on Wednesdays will run on February 3, 10, 17 and 24 and March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 (9 trips). Train No 06071 Dadar – Tirunelveli weekly festival special on Thursdays will be operated on February 4, 11, 18 and 25, March 4, 11, 18 and 25 and April 1 (9 trips).
Biweekly special trains
Train No 06352 Nagercoil – Mumbai CST Biweekly special on Sundays and Thursdays will be operated on February 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28 and March 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and 28 (16 trips). Train No 06351 Mumbai CST – Nagercoil biweekly special on Mondays and Fridays run on February 5, 8, 12,15, 19, 22 and 26 and March 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26 and 29 (16 trips).
