Dimapur, May 17 (MExN): YouthNet in partnership with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is conducting a month long skill development training programme in construction painting (painters) under NABARD Skill Development & Capacity Building Scheme.
This training is being imparted in association with Asian Paints Colour Academy, Media Cell, YouthNet informed in a press release.
Speaking on the inaugural held at YouthNet Centre Dimapur on May 16, Tiakala Ao, GM/OIC NABARD acknowledged YouthNet for taking up the initiative to give platform to unemployed youths and job seekers to live financially, independent lives through skill training and job placement or self-employment.
In her welcome address, YouthNet Director, Nuneseno Chase acknowledged NABARD for the continued support in YouthNet’s endeavor and aim to create an ecosystem of skilled workforce for job seekers in various industries by way of carrying job mapping drives and making the candidates competent and skilled. She acknowledged Samrat Ghosh, Academy Supervisor and Bhargav Haloi, Technical Trainer, Asian Paints Colour Academy for their support in bringing in their technical expertise in training unskilled labour and transforming unemployed youths into skilled professionals.
The month long training will be conducted in two batches in Dimapur at YouthNet Centre, 4th Mile, near Agri Expo for which registration for interested candidates are still open.
The programme will encompass basic skill building, sector-specific training, allied activities, assessments and feedback. Practical knowledge of specific trade Construction Painting (Painters) will be provided in well-equipped labs and through YouthNet’s channeled training and placement partners.
