Slick roads for the morning commute in New York City


News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Mike Rizzo says New York City will see wet roads during the morning commute.

MONDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH FOR THE MORNING – Wet snow showers wrap up by early morning. No accumulations but reduced visibility from the wet snowflakes and slick roads to impact the morning commute. Then partly cloudy. Highs near 44. Lows down to 34.



TUESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs near 46. Lows down to 33.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly to partly cloudy. Highs near 43. Lows down to 36.

THURSDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH LATE – Partly to mostly cloudy. Rain arrives after sunset and winds increase through the night. Highs near 50. Lows hover near 50.

FRIDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH – A high likelihood that a stronger storm system will impact the New York City metropolitan area with rain and wind. Details are limited as of now, but, as of now, conditions are on the warm, wet and windy side of the storm, similar to the last several ones. Highs likely rocket to the mid- to upper-50s. Drier trend late on Friday and Saturday now looks dry.

NEXT WEEKEND: Chilly and blustery. Mainly sunny with highs in the mid-40s. Lows near 30.
