State Attracts ₹25k-cr Funds For Renewable Energy, Infra | Mumbai News

Mumbai: The state on Monday raised Rs 25,361 crore funds for renewable energy, electric vehicle infrastructure and bio-fuel, among other investments, through a green funds investors meet organised by MAHAPREIT (Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Technology Ltd), a subsidiary of the Maharashtra government, in the city.
One of the projects signed during the event was a Rs 1,200 crore project for a 26-acre software park near Thane and the state’s first digital university, said MAHAPREIT managing director Bipin Shrimali. Also, a road infrastructure project for Surat-Chennai Expressway new alignment was signed.
Shrimali said the event’s main focus was renewable energy and electric vehicle charging stations for the state. “The response to the investors’ meeting was overwhelming. As many as 23 projects were finalised. This will create employment opportunities across Maharashtra on a large scale,” he said.tnn
