Bengaluru traffic to be affected due to Puneeth Parva

Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police have asked commuters to avoid taking the Bellary Road towards Mekhri Circle and Jayamahal Road in view of ‘Puneeth Parva’ at Sri Krishna Vihar Palace Grounds in the city today.

The traffic restrictions will be effective from 3.30 pm on Friday. Commuters have been requested to use alternative roads as large crowds are excepted to gather for the event affecting vehicular movement.

The Puneeth Parva is being organised ahead of the first death anniversary of Kannada film industry’s superstar Dr Puneeth Rajkumar to celebrate the release of his last film, ‘Gandhada Gudi’ which will hit the theatres on October 28.

This pre-release event is part of a series of events being held to honour Puneeth’s memory ahead of his first death anniversary. The actor passed due to cardiac arrest on October 29, 2021.

The event that has been organised by Dr Rajkumar’s family in collaboration with fan associations and has open invitation to people. The programme will commence from 6 pm and is expected to go on till 10 pm.

Several dignitaries and actors from the Kannada film industry and many superstars from Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam are expected to be in attendance at the the event to pay their tributes to ‘Appu’ as Puneeth was loving called.

As per media reports, several of Puneeth’s co-stars including actors Yash, Upendra, Rakshit Shetty, Ramesh Aravind, Duniya Vijay, Raishankar Gowda, and Sai Kumar are likely to be present at the event.

Other renowned actors including Kamal Haasan, Prabhu Deva, Suriya, Balakrishna, and Rana Daggubati are also likely to attend the pre-release event today.
