Understanding your purpose is a journey and West Virginia University is offering help along the way during the inaugural Week of Purpose which wraps up this weekend.

Some key events in the closing days of the Week of Purpose include the following:

A Peace of Mind

From noon to 1 p.m. today (Sept. 22), John Noltner, a storyteller and award-winning photographer, presents his portraits of WVU staff and students during a keynote address centered on the question, “What impact have you had?” Noltner speaks at the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theater.

Purpose and Perspective

Tomorrow (Sept. 23), WVU Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Meshea Poore, Esq. speaks at 11:30 a.m. at the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theater about the importance of knowing yourself and how you see the world around you as you pursue your purpose.

Try it! A Purpose Celebration

The Week of Purpose wraps up with a party and FoodFest from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 24) at the Student Rec Center Fields. You’re invited to try new things with hands-on activities from different colleges across campus, including the insect farm from the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design and puppetry from the College of Creative Arts. Eight vendors will offer opportunities to try new foods.
