With 21 laps to go, an on-track accident took three racers out of the running at the Port Royal Speedway Saturday night.
Dylan Cisney’s car flipped upside down and caught fire, and Zeb Wise and Freddie Rahmer were also involved, according to the Port Royal Speedway Twitter account.
Cisney’s Facebook page posted a brief update explaining “Dylan is okay. Update later.” Wise and Rahmer’s statuses are currently unknown.
Social media users credit Danny Dietrich and Logan Wagner, fellow racers, for rushing onto the track to help Cisney out of his car.
Fellow racer Jake Waters lauded Dietrich and Wagner for their efforts.
“Proud of @dannydietrich & @LoganWagner_1 on that one. Glad to see @DylanCisney upright and safe. Quick response for the @PortRoyalSpdway safety personnel’s,” Waters said.
“Want to send a HUGE shout out to @LoganWagner_1 and @dannydietrich being on the scene almost immediately @PortRoyalSpdway to assist @DylanCisney out of that burning car,” Smoking Gun Fabrication and Design tweeted. “You guys are the definition of B—– all around!”
